The Poly Column

Welcome to my attempt at a Polyamory Discussion column. I call it the "PolyBureau," a pun that reveals my age somewhat. This page serves both as an index to the individual columns and as a general policy statement.

The columns

By reader request I have separated the columns into two groups. The left group are the opinion pieces, consisting mostly of a single topic talk. On the right are question-and-answer columns, based on questions emailed in by readers. They range pretty widely in topic area.

The Me, and This Thing

I've been poly for over twenty years. I've learned a lot and developed better language to express what I think as the years have passed. One thing that would've helped me back then was having a resource from which to start. This column tries to be that kind of resource. Not authoritative, not definitive, but informative. Questions and suggestions always welcome.

I've had a couple of people ask for private replies. I'm sorry, but in general I don't do private replies. If you want to send me a comment that's not for printing, just say so. I do read peoples' remarks and, I hope, improve the column as a result of of suggestions.

I also get requests for link exchanges. I don't mind if you link to the column; if you do, please let me know. However, I'm not in the business of collecting links. If your site or organization provides a service or information relevant to what I'm writing about or helping answer readers' questions then I'll link back to you.
